To Change, we must seek the Truth
To change, we must always accept the primacy of the truth rather than allow our fears to define a false reality. We must search for the truth and act in conformity with it through sincere reasoning. That is prudence, the first of the cardinal virtues according to the Greek philosophers. Prudence demands being humble, disciplined and sincere in our reasoning so that we are not blinded by prejudices. Prudence does not judge according to desires and passions but seeks the truth even though it may be uncomfortable and inconvenient.
